Day of Refreshment for Women
The Catholic Charismatic Renewal of New Orleans (CCRNO) will sponsor their annual Day of Refreshment for Women on Saturday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Matthew the Apostle in River Ridge. Theme for the Day is “Let Everything that Has Breath Praise the Lord.” Talks will be given by members of the Holy Spirit Women’s Retreat Team: Andi Oney of Laplace and Denise Beyer of Houma/Thibodaux. RETROUVAILLE WEEKEND FOR TROUBLED MARRIAGES
Retrouvaille is a program designed to provide help and support to married couples who are undergoing difficulties in their relationship. Sponsored by the Catholic Church, Retrouvaille is open to couples of all faiths. It has proven helpful to couples who are troubled and stressed, or if the relationship has grown cold and distant. The next Retrouvaille Weekend will be July 18-20, 2014, at the Lumen Christi Retreat Center in Schriever, Louisiana. “Where Y’at?” Mass Finder App
Where Y’at? Just like stopping by “ya mama n'dems, you’re always welcome home to the house of the Lord! With 118 Catholic parishes and mission churches in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, many visitors and locals alike often find themselves asking for the location of the nearest church or wondering what church has a mass time that can fit their schedules. Now, they need look no further than a few swipes with the Archdiocese of New Orleans “Where Y’at?” Mass Finder App. The free app available on iTunes and in the Android Market allows users to quickly search for a nearby Catholic Church by GPS location within the eight civil parishes of the Archdiocese of New Orleans or by time of day they wish to attend a Mass. In addition, the app offers easy access to local and world Catholic news, push notifications of daily readings and special updates from the archdiocese at their fingertips. With this app, no matter“Where Y’at,” users will be able to find a mass time and church in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. St. Anthony Catholic Kiddies Play Group
Play group meets Fridays from 10:00 a.m.-noon. All mom/dads/caregivers with young children are invited to attend. We have snacks to share and lots of toys for the kids to play with. Come join us to socialize and meet other Catholic moms, dads, and caregivers of young children in our area. Please share this with others you know who may be interested!
